Each Berti steak knife is crafted in the tradition established by its founder in 1895: a sole artisan crafts each knife in a set from start to finish. Each set is initialed by the specific artisan, making them heritage items. The blades are made of forged, high-quality 420B stainless steel with a convex grind, providing a durable blade with outstanding edge retention that has less drag compared to other straight-ground knives. It will slice your steak, rather than tear like a serrated knife.
Berti kitchen knives come in full or anchor tang. Full tang means that the blade is anchored to a handle made of two halves (available in black and white or red Lucite). Anchor tang means the blade is anchored inside a whole handle (of wood or ox horn).
Each set comes in a custom-built, magnetized wood box for safe and secure storage.
