The Kastehelmi or "Dewdrop" collection is a 2010 reintroduction by iittala of a classic 1964 glassware design by iconic Finnish designer Oiva Toikka in celebration of Toikka's 50th year of work with iittala. The original design was inspired by the idea using droplets of glass to cover the joint marks left on pressed glass pieces during production. Glass Dew drops are used fancifully in concentric circles like ripples in still water. Now offered in three colors: clear, apple green and light blue, Kastehelmi pairs well with Teema dinnerware.
