Design pioneer Alvar Aalto’s asymmetrical, soft waves (“aalto” in Finnish) have become a timeless symbol of Scandinavian interior design since winning the 1937 Paris World Fair. Inspired by his native Finnish landscape, the iconic Aalto vase combines form and function. Each unique glass vase goes through a multi-step production process at the Iittala Glass Factory. The crystal is mouthblown then the pieces are hand cut before going through several polishings. The tall vase showcases long-stemmed bouquets while the new linen colour brings natural elegance to any interior.
