Design pioneer Alvar Aalto’s asymmetrical waves shape won the 1937 Paris World Fair. In the decades since, it has become a staple of Scandinavian interior design. Taking inspiration from his native Finland’s landscape, Aalto’s waves combine function and sculpture. Each unique crystal vase is first mouthblown. Then pieces are hand cut before going through several polishings at the Iittala Glass Factory. The iconic Aalto vase adds striking detail to any home interior.
