The design for this piece went through many iterations before it came to have the shape you see today. The Port Living Co. hexi-bowl is made of a specially formulated mixture, including locally sourced recycled granite and marble dust, and is designed to grow stronger as it ages. Each Port Living Co. hexi-bowl is cast in a handmade mold, hand burnished, then coated with linseed oil.

The resulting bowl is smooth and strong, with perfectly designed pockets for storing fresh produce, and has a feel more closely resembling a piece of pottery than the concrete creation that it is.
